12.1 Gas installations must be performed and certified in line with South African safety and regulatory requirements, including issuing a Certificate of Conformity where required.
12.2 Where your purchase includes an installation/compliance service, CoC issuance (if applicable) is subject to the installation meeting the relevant safety requirements. If remedial work is needed to achieve compliance, we will quote separately before proceeding.
13) Cancellations and returns (online purchases)
Your cancellation/return rights depend on what you bought:
13.1 Cooling-off for electronic transactions (ECTA)
Where applicable, you may cancel without reason and without penalty:
- Goods: within 7 days after receiving the goods
- Services: within 7 days after concluding the agreement
The only charge may be the direct cost of returning goods (where applicable).
Important exclusions: This cooling-off right may not apply in certain cases (e.g., personalised/custom-made items or where services began with your consent before the end of the cooling-off period).
13.2 Returns for defective/unsafe goods (CPA implied warranty)
If goods fail to meet quality standards, you may return them within 6 months of delivery and you may choose a repair, replacement, or refund (as applicable).
13.3 Return condition (non-defective goods)
If a return is accepted for non-defective goods (e.g., change of mind), goods must be unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition, unless the law provides otherwise. Return handling may be subject to an inspection.
14) Refunds
14.1 Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and legally permissible.
14.2 Refund timelines may differ depending on the legal basis for the refund (e.g., cooling-off vs. defect-related remedies).
15) Warranties (manufacturer and statutory)
15.1 Any manufacturer warranties apply in addition to your statutory rights.
15.2 Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the CPA (including the implied warranty rules for defective goods).
16) Limitation of liability
16.1 We are not liable for losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., courier delays, load-shedding impacts on third parties, severe weather, strikes).
